Floor Care & Maintenance
Keeping your FloorSense floors looking their best is simple. Here's everything you need to know to protect your investment for the long haul.
Your FloorSense floors are built to handle real life — kids, pets, spills and traffic. A few easy habits keep them looking showroom-new for decades.
Sweep & dust often
Sweep, dust-mop or vacuum on the hard-floor setting (no beater bar) to lift grit before it can scratch the surface.
Damp mop
Clean with a well-wrung damp mop and a pH-neutral floor cleaner. Skip steam mops, wax, polish and oil soaps.
Wipe spills anytime
The 100% waterproof core means spills won't damage the floor — just wipe them up whenever you spot them.
Protect from scratches
Use felt pads under furniture, entry mats at doors, and lift (don't drag) heavy items. Keep pet nails trimmed.
Do
- Sweep or vacuum regularly to keep grit off the surface
- Use felt pads under furniture and chair legs
- Place entry mats at exterior doors (non-rubber-backed)
- Clean with a pH-neutral floor cleaner and damp mop
- Lift heavy furniture to move it — never drag
- Use blinds or curtains in rooms with strong direct sun
Avoid
- Steam mops or wet-mopping with standing water
- Wax, polish, oil soap or "mop & shine" products
- Abrasive pads, scouring powder or stiff brushes
- Harsh solvents, bleach or ammonia-based cleaners
- Dragging appliances or heavy furniture across the floor
- Rubber-backed or latex-backed mats (can discolour vinyl)
A few minutes of easy care keeps your floors beautiful for years — and keeps your 25-year residential warranty in good standing. That's it. No refinishing, no resealing, ever.
