Warranty
FloorSense Escarpment Series is built to last — and backed by one of the strongest warranties in luxury vinyl. Here's what's covered.
What's covered
FloorSense stands behind the Escarpment Series. Under normal residential use and proper installation and care, your floor is warranted against manufacturing defects, wear-through of the wear layer, staining, and fading for the life of the warranty term. The rigid SPC core is 100% waterproof and will not swell or delaminate from topical moisture.
Every Escarpment Series floor is also FloorScore®-certified for indoor air quality and phthalate-free — safe for homes with children and pets.
This is a summary. The complete terms, conditions and exclusions are in the full warranty document linked above.
What "waterproof" means
The plank is 100% waterproof. Every Escarpment Series plank is built on a rigid Stone Plastic Composite (SPC) core that does not absorb water. It will not swell, cup, buckle, or delaminate from topical surface moisture — everyday spills, tracked-in rain or snow, pet accidents, or routine damp-mopping — under normal residential conditions, provided the moisture is wiped up promptly.
The installed floor is not a sealed, watertight surface. Escarpment Series is a floating floor made of individual click-locked planks. Standing water, flooding, or moisture left to sit can migrate through the seams, expansion gaps, or perimeter and reach the subfloor beneath. Damage caused by water that seeps beneath the flooring — including subfloor damage, adhesive failure, mould or mildew, and structural damage — is not covered. In bathrooms, laundry rooms, and other wet areas, seal all perimeter and transition gaps with a flexible silicone sealant per our installation guidelines.
5-Year Workmanship
Floors installed by Adamson Flooring carry a separate 5-year Installation Workmanship Warranty covering the quality of the installation itself.
2-Year Labour
For Adamson-installed floors, approved material claims include labour reimbursement during the first two years to repair or replace affected areas.
What's not covered
This warranty does not cover damage from improper installation, subfloor moisture, hydrostatic pressure, flooding, plumbing leaks, or standing water; accidents, impact, scratches, gouges, dents, or pet-claw damage; improper maintenance (including steam mops, wax, bleach, ammonia, or abrasive cleaners — only a pH-neutral cleaner is approved); use beyond the light-commercial rating; fading from unprotected direct sunlight; and normal wear, gloss change, or minor variation in colour, shade or texture.
Full definitions, site & radiant-heat conditions, the prorated material credit schedule and complete exclusions are set out in the full warranty document linked at the top of this page.
